With that in mind, 343 Industries knows that most fans of the series are highly committed to supporting the property, and in a bid to seemingly see if those franchise devotees will put their money where their mouth is, the game developer is offering two rather pricey packages of Halo 5: Guardians. On the title’s official website, Halo Waypoint, players can either pre-order the Limited Edition that’s selling for $100, or the Limited Collector’s Edition for $250.

For those Halo warriors whose wallets are a little light, the Limited Edition includes:

Warzone REQ Bundle: 14 Premium Requisition packs Halo: The Fall of Reach – Animated Series Guardian model by Metal Earth Uniquely-designed Spartan themed SteelBook Spartan Locke’s Classified Orders Dossiers on Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris Xbox Live Gold 14-day Trial

And for the Spartans among us with inexhaustible resources, Limited Collector’s Edition comes with:

Commemorative statue designed by 343 Industries, featuring Master Chief and Spartan Locke Warzone REQ Bundle: 14 Premium Requisition packs Halo: The Fall of Reach – Animated Series Guardian model by Metal Earth Uniquely-designed Spartan themed SteelBook Spartan Locke’s Classified Orders Dossiers on Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris Xbox Live Gold 14-day Trial

While some might consider the editions’ small offering of actual gameplay content to be a price gouge, both versions include a pretty stout bushel of collectibles that steadfast Halo 5: Guardians fans can at least use to spruce up their apartments. However, even with the expensive cost, 343 Industries probably wouldn’t have bothered crafting the two collections if the demand for such products weren’t somewhat universal amongst diehards and casual fans alike.

Nevertheless, Microsoft and 343 Industries are certainly hedging their bets for success by catering to Halo 5: Guardian’s multiplayer demographic, as the companies are promising that all of mode’s DLC maps will be free. And although the franchise’s best features are typically centered around multiplayer activities, it’s evident that the developers are also hoping to win over fair-weather fans of the game’s single player campaign by putting together what seems to be a richer, more engaging story than Master Chief’s previous outings.

Do you think the content of the Limited Edition and Limited Collector’s Edition of Halo 5: Guardians enough to warrant a purchase? If so, which version will you be buying when the game goes on sale?

Halo 5: Guardians will be available exclusively for the Xbox One on October 27, 2015.
